In every country of the world there are hungry, searching hearts. The Philippines is one of them, but “the Most High God, is the Sovereign Ruler of the universe (heaven and earth) and controls the foundation of sanity in this crazy world (Daniel 4). Our God opened doors for us to receive an offer from the Bureau of Corrections and Prisons where 75,000 inmates are waiting for the death penalty. The following exciting report shows the effectiveness of the ministry of PhilSOL and the weekly teaching of God’s Word.

1. The Bureau of Corrections chaplains studied our Bible lessons and the books. They approved to continue giving them out to all the inmates.

2. For three years now, NO RIOTS happened in this compound and the Bureau of Corrections recognized PhilSOL presence and welcomed us to continue teaching the inmates. Our Bible lessons are the only materials being approved for circulation inside the prison.

3. Last April when our SLM International people, Jim Tilson and Ben Watson, from the Headquarters in Madison, Georgia preached in the prison, the Bureau of Prison officials offered another lot for the PhilSOL office in front of the Death Row building. We can have a library (no library inside), study room, Bible study morning and evening, and showing films.

The truth gives stability, order, and sanctified hope in the midst of this maddening circumstance. So you see that NO MATTER what happens in our lives is filtered through God’s fingers of love.

Urgent Prayer Request: PhilSOL needs the funds for the building, approval inside the prison with Prison Officials, and the go ahead to begin construction, before the Officials offer the lot to other groups.
