Milestones
	1996    The Source of Light Branch Offices was organized 2000    Bello Johnson became the branch director. 2002    Source of Light - Ivory Coast began translating Winning the Race of Life into French.
The Country
	Located on the West African coast between Ghana and Liberia, the Ivory Coast has been one of the world's largest producers of cocoa, coffee, and palm oil. However, recently the Ivory Coast has become a country torn by political unrest. Tensions will not relax for some time, but the country's stability is essential to the entire region, already one of the world's poorest and most strife-torn.
The Ministry
	DTC COTE D'IVOIRE has 5 main targets to reach: To give the opportunity to people (free or imprisoned, children, young or adults, men or women) to know and to receive Jesus Christ in their life, as their Personal Savior. To edify new believers in their new Christian life. To fortify and encourage the old Christians to always remain in Christ. To train Pastors and other leaders who need a formal theological training. To help churches enjoying their public celebrations. To fulfil those targets, DTC COTE D'IVOIRE offers many means: We have a set of courses (TMCA-EX1-EX2) called "PROGRAMME E", for children from 10 to 15. Another set of courses (NL1-NL2-NL3) is called "PROGRAMME M", for the training of adults and young from 15. 2 courses are set as special. The TMC4 course, talking about practical christian life and the AFM course treating of love, dating and marriage. Anyone who is at least 15 can receive these courses. We offer theological training to pastors and any leader interested, for 3 years, through our Bible Institute called I.B.E.D. (Institut Biblique d'Enseignement à Distance or Distance Bible Institute). We have a dozen of christian movies that we essentially project for the interest of illiterate and old people. Those movies are essentially evangelical. Many churches do not have necessary means to buy some equipment. Therefore, as a social work, we assist them with our public address appliances during their solemn activities like marriage, consecration, baptism, etc... We plan to open a prison ministry as soon as possible.
