Prison Ministry Update

“On the 18th of April 2002 I was apprehended by the police in the evening and put in the cells. I was accused by my employer of stealing money. I was taken to court and sentenced to one year imprisonment or 20,000 shillings fine.” (About: $260.00) “One day while in the prison room I went to a group of prisoners who were believers. They were praising God and praying in the room. I asked them to pray for me to stop my wrong habits. They told me first of all I needed Christ as my Saviour. I accepted this invitation and Christ came into my heart.

From that time the Lord changed my life and even my people who had forgotten about me came to visit me in prison.

I thank God for the Source of Light lessons that have caused me to grow in my faith. I pray that kind of fellowship may continue. God bless you.” Brother Simon Muthengi
